Audition for Odyssey of the Mind @ Montgomery!

Calling all creative 3rd–5th graders – join a state- and world-level STEAM competition team that blends creativity, teamwork, engineering, and performance.

Audition Details (Both Sessions Required):

Wednesday (90 min): Students solve spontaneous verbal and hands-on challenges.
Weekend (90 min): Parents attend while students present a home-built prop or device + Q&A. Time TBD.

Space is limited!
Only students committed to 2x/week practices from mid-September through mid-March should audition.

Please read the following carefully.

Event Waiver

This waiver pertains to participation in  Montgomery's Odyssey of the Mind Team audition ("Audition"), an in-person event designed for children in 1st and 2nd grade. The audition may involve light physical activity, use of simple tools or materials, and interaction with peers and adult facilitators.

Parent/Guardian Consent: I, the undersigned, am the parent or legal guardian of the minor child named below and consent to their participation in the Audition.

Assumption of Risk: I understand that while reasonable precautions will be taken, participation in this event may involve certain risks, including but not limited to minor physical activity, interaction with educational materials, and group collaboration. I voluntarily assume all risks related to my child's participation.

Release of Liability: I release and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, staff, volunteers, and venue from all liability, claims, or demands arising out of or related to any loss, injury, or illness incurred during or in connection with my child’s participation in this event.

Medical Authorization: In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the event volunteers to seek necessary medical treatment for my child and understand that I am responsible for any costs incurred.
